    WordPress: 4.8
    Plugin: Events Manager Free
    site url: tom-szabo.com
    Google API Key: set up
    Enable Dev Updates = Y
Plugin tested with all others disabled: Y
    Error: Location not found
Locations entered: 2 (both not found), both are located by Google Maps.

I’ve been trying to solve the “Location Not Found” notice for almost 20+ hours with no luck. I can see from the Events Manager forums a LOT of users are having the same problem. I’ve investigated a lot of the suggestions with no result. I don’t know where to turn???? Really, really frustrated and confused. HELP.

Sorry for the confusion. When setting up an event in Events Manager (EM), you add the location info for the event. After I enter the location details, in EM, the area that should show the google map displays “location not found”. Somehow EM Location is not linking with Google Maps. Does this make more sense?? Thanks.

Can you post a link to your site?

Is it failing in both admin and on the front-end?

Have you also tested with the default WordPress theme?

Fails in admin and fails, if I look at it live. Not sure what you mean by “front end”?

Have you also tested with the default WordPress theme?
I’m using theme twenty eleven with theme tweaker plugin for color changes. Twenty eleven is pretty common. I tried it using theme twenty ten, same issue.

For some reason Events Manager and Google are not connecting correctly.

    Hi Athomasimage,

Can you try resetting the API key by deleting it under Events > Settings > Formatting > Maps > Google Maps API Browser Key and then re-adding? See if that resolves the problem.

There could also be a plugin conflict, can you try deactivating all other plugins and see if the problem resolves? If it does, then reactivate the plugins one by one until you find the culprit.

If nothing helps, please check the JavaScript console on the page where you get the “location not found” error. You can do that by following these instructions:

    Thanks,
    Imran

Let us know if the suggestions by @emranemranx don’t help you get it working.

I’m having the same issue, and I tried the suggestions above. Still not working. When I checked the JS console, this is the error it’s giving me:
TypeError: $(…).unload is not a function

We solved our map problem by enabling the map API in the Google console, (https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/library?project=….) and also having to include periods and commas behind the address’s fields, like St.

Not sure if you’ve already tried this, but I had the same issue and then went back and followed the instructions and made sure that I had ALL 3 api’s enabled. That fixed my issue. Hope this helps
