Thank you, but since I’ve paid for Google Maps, I’d prefer to get them working.

How have you paid? When? How much? No! Google needs/wants the billing info, but will not charge you until you have reached a certain limit.
Also, for the 5 keys? Take a quick look on this forum, or simply look at this plugin extensive documentation on that. Link is in your EM Settings.

Sorry, I wasn’t very clear. I’ve secured nonprofit funding from Google, so I would like to make use of that.

I looked at the documentation, specifically this page.
I see that 5 APIs must be enabled, but it seems like only a single key is needed.

I’m confused as to why my existing maps work but the new ones do not. My key must be partially working.

Google requires an API to be used now which can be found here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

You could visit our documentation on how to add/configure API here: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/

If you’re also using DIVI, You would need to visit their documentation on how to add Google API keys on the theme.

Please do make sure that you have added the correct http referrers. (This is mentioned on the documentation also)

Can you also make sure that you have also enabled the following API’s and added the Billing Info?
1, Make sure that you have also added your BILLING ADDRESS, This is because google maps requires billing information now.
2. Geocoding API
3. Geolocating API
4. Directions API
5. Distance API
6. Elevation API
7. Maps Javascript API
8. Places API for Web

After doing everything, Please try and regenerate a new API key.

I have a billing address configured.
I enabled the APIs you listed, that were not already enabled, and regenerated a new API key but the problem remains.

I inspected network requests being made to see if I could get any hints as to the problem.

The requests made on a page on which the map was working (configured prior to the API key being required):

When I loaded a problem page (displaying “Map Unavailable) I did not see any requests to maps.googleapis.com.

I went to location configuration for that page and saw the following request:

With the response:

I’m guessing authentication failed so the plugin was not able to retrieve and cache the information it requires to display the map.
Thoughts?

After re-entering the address on the Edit Location page, the map started to work!
This means one of the changes I made did solve the issue.

For anyone reading this issue in the future, these are the changes I made throughout this process:

1. Added *mydomain.com and *mydomain.com/* to HTTP referrers (I previously only had mydomain.com).
2. Enabled all APIs indicated by timrv.
3. Regenerated the API key.
4. Cleared, tabbed away from, then re-entered address on Edit Location page.
