Location Name

    I apologize if this has been asked and answered, or is obvious, but I just can’t find the answer.

    I am not able to enter a custom location name, either in the event itself or under Manage Locations. All I have is a drop down with a list of all the states, and I can’t type anything in. What am I missing?

    Are you using location controls? Do you have your list of states set up in the ‘Label’ section for location controls? (You’ll find this at the bottom of the Location Manager).

    Yes, I have a list of states in the Label section.

    If i delete them will I end up with a blank field for me to enter the location name? Just a guess. ??

    Yes, that’s correct. The list of states *should* be in the states field; but this is an error that can occur if a particular combination of settings were in place on an older version of My Calendar – that combination causes the migration to the newer format of settings to mismatch the settings.
