• Hi!

I have seen in the Events Manager demo that it’s possible to implement a link the small description field inside the location maps. On the demo site It’s called “details”. Behind the “details” is a link to a page where the location is described. I searched in the settings, the forum, in the documentation but couldn’t find a info how to customize the little location description field.

Would be awesome if someone has an idead! ??

    Cheers
    Valentin

Just have a look by yourself that you know what button I mean.

Sorry, in the “Single maps” shown in the event itself it’s automatically a link added to the location’s page.

What I mean is in the [locations_map].
Here is no link to the location’s page.
There is only the location adress and name of the location.
How can I add there a link to the location pages?

Is there also a possibility to see the own location of directly in the map? I have this function in other WP map plugins via geo.location.

these two functions are required for my main idea…

Do you mean the complete map of all locations, because that’s what you get with [locations_map]

This is what I have working – under Settings / Formatting / Maps > Global Map Format
    “Location Balloon Format” box:
    <strong>#_LOCATIONLINK</strong><p>#_LOCATIONTOWN</p><p>#_LOCATIONNEXTEVENT</p>

Just include #_LOCATIONLINK in there to make it a link, not static.

Yes the complete map. I found the settings – thanks for the info!
    This works now perfect

Do you know if there is a chance to see the own adress/position on the complete map?

I have an other plugin which uses the same API and technology from google and here they use the Geo.Location API, but haven’t found this setting for the complete map yet.

    Thanks!

I’m glad that worked for you. I am useless at PHP coding so I’m satisfied when I get results playing with the Settings menus.

The request about placing the own address – you mean the owner’s address?
Probably I’m not of any help with that in any special way. If I wanted to put my own location on the map I would just create a new location for my place but otherwise it’s beyond me.

Yeah me too, I’m not used to php coding..
I mean the address of the customer using the website.
The idea behind is that I list all the locations like pups and clubs and if someone is lost in town he can just see what is around him so he can have a look on the map..
The event manager is almost perfect for my application that is the only thing missing.

    Another question:

Do you know how to categorize the locations so I could create maps only for bars or only for clubs or at least to set different location bubbles for the different categories?

    Cheers
