    When I looked previously, it seemed that there were a lot of individual images that needed to load. Lots of HTTP requests is often a big reason for long page loads. If done properly, themes should utilize image sprites or icon fonts instead of lots of small individual image files.

    This, of course, is only one aspect. I’m also not sure how much, if at all, you may have customized the theme. Installing that theme on my machine, it seemed to load relatively quickly. However, it also looks completely different. At the same time, I’m running PHP 5.4 and in debug mode I get hundreds of PHP notices directly related to the theme… which isn’t great either.

    Could be because I customized the theme, but it is just for colors plus an image header.
    I cannot believe that it could be a reason.
    Nevertheless adding a cache plugin will help.
