• Hello –

My main post page should be showing a list of blog posts, but is instead showing just the most recent blog post. I must have changed something in the functions or somewhere else in parent theme (Roneous) ages ago when I was starting to tinker with WP, and am using a child theme for main site.

Last night I tested briefly with a different theme, without child theme operating, and the blog post was fine.

So, I think its a change in code in the parent theme. Somewhere in my parent theme I’ve made a change I guess that is forcing the blog only to show one post –

    1) If anyone can let me know which custom code is causing this, I’d appreciate it so I can remove it

    – alternately –

    2) How can I restore the original parent theme code?

    Thanks,

    Jason

  • @cameradomedia Let’s start by covering the basics.

    1. Go to Settings > Reading and ensure that you have selected a static home page and blog page. Then look at the option Blog pages show at most and ensure that you have selected the number of posts you would like to display on your Blog page.
    2. Go to Pages and click edit on the page you are using for your blog page. When the editor opens ensure that the page template is “Posts”.
    3. Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog and ensure that Single Pagination is set to NO.

If those don’t fix the problem then I would suggest you may need some coding help with your child theme.
