• Version 2.7

I am on a Mac OSX 10.5.6 Using MAMP to develop locally. I am having some very strange issues with my wordpress install, namely, when i perform certain actions, such as add Post Categories, attempt to activate a theme, or even log out, I am brought to a blank screen. This is very strange. If i click on the back button in my browser, I find that the action (changing theme, adding a new category, etc. has been updated. I saved my theme work, and reinstalled WP 2.7 and the same is occuring over and over again. If I attempt to log out I am brought to this blank screen and if I clear my cookies, and password info, I can no longer access the site.

    Anyone experiencing the same thing?

This is a fresh install and I have no plugins activated.

also, when i try to add a category it says:

    bcpc0 ]]>

    within a red warning box,

yet again, when I move back a page, it shows that the category has been added
