I finished editing a theme I downloaded from WooThemes (Daily Edition) earlier today. I had exported from our web server onto my laptop for offline editing of the theme. Now, when I go to upload the theme through FTP back onto our server, it isn’t showing up. This is the exact same version of the site as before. I know that the directory in the FTP is correct because removing or adding other themes in the same folder has the desired effect… just not this one. I haven’t made any huge changes, or at least not anything database level that could affect the install (I wouldn’t think…)

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could possibly be?

You’ve introduced an error into the theme?

Obviously that is what I thought too. But how would it be working fine on my localhost but not on the server?

Difference in server configuration? Or PHP version?

The PHP version is different, I did phpinfo on both servers. My localhost has 5.3.2 and the server has 5.2.14. Is this version difference drastic enough to make it not show up?

Its possible that you’ve used some older functions that are no longer supported by 5.3.x. If you access to your server’s error logs, have a look through them. They may be able to give you some clues as to the source of the error.
