    Hi all,

I am currently in the process of migrating my local site to a live site however not everything came across. Some custom css in relation to colours, 1 widget and my site logo are absent. I did note when I did the FTP there were two errors relating to widgets and an image (which could be both my logo and the widget) but that doesn’t explain the background colours not working.

    This is my website link:
    https://mrbones.com.au

I have been in contact with my website host who said this:-

If the website does not look the same way as it did locally, then your website’s files and/or database were not uploaded correctly. It is possible that the database file was incomplete, or that there are some missing files.

My advice would be to try re-uploading the website, so that we could set it up correctly. It would be best if you could create a complete archive of the files/database, and upload it to your account with us. For that purpose you could use cPanel’s File Manager or https://FTP.“

How can I fix this problem?

    Cheers
    Alicia

My suggestion is that you use FILEZILLA to manage the FTP file uploads for you, it is a free download. Deleting the files before repeating the upload is advised.

Suggest that you use a browser inspector like firebug to see just what is going wrong with your displays.

    Hi Ross,

    Thank you for your reply!

I have noticed that there was one file error in the transfer called widgets.js, do you think this may be the source of the problem? Also I have attempted to re-transfer it using FileZilla however I keep getting file upload errors, do you know how I might fix this?

    Thank you
    Alicia

Talk to your web hosting support, it may be that you need to modify an FTP setting.
If it is only one file, then using your filezilla you would delete the target and upload it again.
