local time issues

  • When setting the time of a match, it is only displayed as configured, when setting the “use UTC time” setting

    But the match, even if it is played, does not allow me to establish a marking, since the local time is different from the established time.

    How can I set the local time equal to the wordpress time

    In most cases (if your server config is not very strange) it works best like this:

    1. Set your WP setting to your timezone. Preferably choose a city nearby (for me that is Amsterdam) instead of the numerical setting.

    2. Set the plugin to use WP timezone settings.

    3. Enter the date & times in UTC time by adding or subtracting the time difference (difference between your TZ and UTC) from the local times that you have.

    E.g. for the match between Senegal and The Netherlands in the Qatar World Cup the UTC time is “2022-11-21 16:00:00”.
