Local Thumbnails All Blank

With local caching enabled I see just a grey rectangle and play button. With local caching disabled I get the thumbnail dragged in from YouTube.
I have WP Rocket, a VPS using varnish, CDN served by Cloudlfare.
Using dev tools I see

I just migrated from WPX to a VPS at Cloudways and it was working before the move so far as I remember. I wonder if it may be to do with that?
