local pickup vs. delivery

    I have a site for a flower shop that I upgraded to use the new shipping zones. They have the option for local pickup (free) or delivery ($10) in one zone and out of area delivery in another zone. By doing it this way the local pickup is only available to people whose billing zipcode is in the specified local delivery table. Is that the way it’s supposed to work? Suppose someone wants to pickup whose zipcode isn’t in the local delivery area?

    What I’d really like is for people to be able to choose pickup or delivery and then if they chose delivery all of the delivery options would pop up for them to fill out, otherwise, that stuff should stay hidden.

    With the way you’ve currently set it up, only customers who provide 29036 zip code will see it. If you legitimately want to give everyone the choice, there is no reason to have that local zone – just add local pickup to your domestic US zone so it’s a choice.
