  • This is a problem for me too. I want local user to be able to recover their password.

    Thanks!

This is fixed in 1.1.4 released today. I’ve added a new option “Enable lost password recovery”.

Great news! Thanks for all of your work on this plugin.

Yes, great work on the plugin.

However my password recovery option works, but doesn’t update AD (not sure if it’s supposed to). I am not ‘falling back’ to local accounts, but when I do check that box, I can authenticate with the new changed password. So WP is changing the pass.

If it’s not supposed to update AD, that’s ok but would be good to know. If so however, I’m not quite sure what the advantage is to updating the local password but not AD – the user would then end up with the old credentials in AD and new in WP.

Yes, that is a problem. But it is important for situations when AD is not available and you need to login to WP.

The WP passwords are never pushed back to AD for security reasons.

    Hi there,

I have 1.1.4 and still have the same problem.

I have ‘Enable local password changes’ and ‘Enable lost password recovery’ checked, but still get the ‘Disabled’ screen when I click on the ‘Lost your password?’ link.

    Where am I going wrong?

Think I might have found the problem. I’m running a multisite installation of WordPress.
The ‘Lost your password?’ link on a child site actually points to the parent site e.g. https://mywordpress not https://mywordpress/child.

I’ve copied the Active Directory Integration plugin settings from the child to the parent and everything seems to be working.

I just need to get around the mail() disabled error now. But that’s unrelated to the plugin.

    Thanks
