local installation with several wp sites

    When I make a new directory for a new wordpress site and then copy and paste the new files(wp4.8) into it I get a meessage that files(42)already exist. Then the question what to do,overwright or not….What is this? What to do?

  • It sounds like there is an issue with creating a new directory. How are you doing it? Are you copying an existing directory and pasting it, choosing a new directory name in the process? Simply creating a new directory wouldn’t come with any files in it, so there wouldn’t be anything to overwrite. Unless perhaps you are pasting into the wrong folder?

    No it is a quite new zipped file from WP which I open, copy and place it under in a new directory in www (have Wamp).

    made a total new installation with Clean win10
    No problem any longer
