• I had an issue with code injection on my WordPress site. Since I was thinking of moving hosts anyway, I set up a fresh install on a new host and pointing the DNS to the new site. I’m slowly rebuilding the site from scratch. In order to replicate the site as much as possible, without reintroducing the hack, I’m trying to install the backed up version locally (via MAMP). It seems that I’ve successfully installed WordPress and Imported the back up, but the site is not functioning.
    – Typing localhost:8888 just results in a blank page. (Prior to importing the old database, I would get the WordPress site).
    – Logging into the admin account results in blocks of sections instead of the true WordPress admin window. (The top line says “Skip to main content” – then there is a row of icons, then Dashboard, then the Dashboard submenu items (Home, Updates, etc).

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Being able to see the previous data easily would be a great help.

    Cheers.
