    Hello, thanks for the community.

I have installed the WooCommerce core within WordPress on the local environment. The store app recognizes the admnistrator logged in as a customer of the store.

We intend to test the app by simulating an user interface, following Login/Logout/Register dinamics.

By using Memebers plugin (the User Role Editor) we have that

    And the following Users

From another profile in the webbrowser we can access the app and log in as tester2, but we falls on

I would apprecite to be enlighten on the best approach to fix this inconsistency.

Thanks so much for the attention.

Thanks for your response. You state

“You should be seeing a login page for users at /my-account depending on what apps you have added and your theme.”

No, i’m not. The app recognizes the admin as a customer, which turns me unable to stage it.

“If you’re not seeing the login/register page then that has nothing to do with local at all.”
We just need to be sure about what does makes sense to do and does not.

There is a little thing else…

Attempting to populate the db by importing a file like that: debian Pastezone (Products -> Add new -> Import CSV)
The rows are created but not filled with described information. Single comma, strings in quotes, all ready tried…

    Thanks

    Hi Ivan @izanoth,

No, i’m not. The app recognizes the admin as a customer, which turns me unable to stage it.

I’ve read the entire thread to try to understand your requirement. If I’m understanding correctly, you have a store that is in coming soon mode and you want to review it with an admin user, but you can’t view it because the admin user is being recognized as a customer, not as an admin, then you can’t view the store because it’s in private mode, not launched yet, am I right so far?

I have a question, if you try this without the Members plugin, using the default roles, just admin, and maybe creating a secondary user for the Customer role if needed, would this work for you?

Attempting to populate the db by importing a file like that:?debian Pastezone?(Products -> Add new -> Import CSV)

The pastebin says entry not found. However, here’s our guide for using the product importer: https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/#import, make sure to pay special attention to step 6 where you map the columns from the CSV to the respective fields on WooCommerce.

Please let us know if this helps!

    Cheers!

    No, you r not.
To access the store WordPress asks for authentication, the store itself recognizes the user (aka admin) as a customer (already logged in by wordpress, not by store). I can view the store but in authenticated context just.
I tried every modes and add different users and roles as well.

Would be the way, but I can’t figure out the proper permissions to grant for…

All capabilities seems to be about the app management.

    Hello Ivan,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have read the conversation again and there are a few things that are not clear to me yet.

    Let’s start with your goal:

By accessing the ‘/’, we are redirected to the wp-admin login page.
The intent is to get Login / Register buttons rendered if the customer is not logged in, and My Account otherwise.

Based on this message, I understand that you want to test the WooCommerce as a customer.
But when you try to access “/” you are redirected to the WP Admin page where you are prompted for login. Could you share the complete URL you are trying to access?

Once I have a better understanding of your goal, I will be in a better position to assist you further.

    Best regards.

    Hello Ivan,

    Thank you for your reply.

The page you see is commonly used for “under construction” websites to prevent the general public from accessing the website until it is ready.

You can learn more about this option in this guide:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/configuring-woocommerce-settings/coming-soon-mode/

If do not want this message to appear, simply choose Live option and save changes.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best regards.

    Hello @doublezed2 ,

    thank you for your reply.

How can I go deeper into this?… To customize the UI in order to set Login/Register buttons instead?

I don’t know if I’d have to think about this issue in the partner’s remote host context, though.

    Have a nice day!

    Hello Ivan,

    Thank you for your reply.

The page you have shared is the default My Account page.
Although it can be accessed, it will require a user to log in to display information related to the account.

For more and better features, I suggest you look at the WooCommerce Memberships plugin.
This plugin will give you more in-depth control over users, pages, and other options related to membership features.

Please note that the WooCommerce Memberships comes with a dedicated support feature and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Let me know if you have any questions. ??

    Best regards.

    Ok @doublezed2

    Thank you for your reply.

So, can you tell how I may exclude de “Downloads” button in the MyAccount context? Which is not proper in my case.

Besides, do you have a recommendation for we get a simple-customizable-withoutgaps theme according the good sense to enroll that on right way? A only one and last purchase, please?

    Thanks.

[EDIT] The Downloads button issue has been solved

Hey @izanoth you simply go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced then scroll down a bit and remove the word “downloads” from the input field and click save.

As for your question about a theme I’m not sure what you’re asking there.

    Hello Ivan,

    Thank you for your reply.

I am glad to know that you have resolved the Download button issue.

Regarding your question about the theme, I suggest you browse themes at WooCommerce Market Place and find suitable themes yourself. You can use Filters available on the right-hand side to narrow down your search.

You may also post your question in Woo Community Slack and the Woo Community Facebook group for guidance from the WooCommerce community.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards.
