Local Dev Installation URLs not supported

  • Hi.

    I’m trying to use the WP importer to import files from one local installation to another. Both are using “xyz.local” Domains, however, when attempting to import, the importer is failing to import attachments because of an allegedly invalid URL. However, the URLs are valid on the machine running the dev server.

    Not sure there’s a workaround, but if so, I’d be grateful if you let me know.

    You might be having many items in the export and the originating site timed out in the middle of the export. Can you try exporting – importing the content in batches?
