I’m building a Woocommerce site and I would like to add a local delivery option. I created a shipping zone for the local area but I don’t see a way to have more than one shipping option per product since shipping classes are only one per product. Is there a way to do this without a plugin?

The client doesn’t need scheduling or any other features as they prefer to follow up with the customer personally. Thank you.

    Hi there!

Local Delivery is a legacy shipping option that is no longer offered with WooCommerce. Instead, you can use our shipping zones to set up a zone consisting of your local delivery areas, and then set up flat rate shipping for that zone.

If you need to charge for distance instead of a flat rate you can use our Distance Rate Shipping plugin for this use case.

You can look into setting up Flat rate shipping here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/flat-rate-shipping/

    Cheers!

I didn’t see your response and am just circling back to this, sorry about that. If you look at my original post I said I set up local delivery as a zone. Your response was in reference to a legacy local pickup option but I wasn’t asking about that. I would like to offer the customer more than one option (local delivery or pickup, and possibly shipping too on smaller items) and I’m not able to apply more than one shipping zone to a product. How would I be able to have all three of these options on one product?

    Hi @daviswebstudio,

A shipping zone is a geographical area, as such, you can not assign multiple shipping zones to a product.

You can, however, add multiple shipping options to the same shipping zone.

For example, if you want customers in the US to be able to choose between a flat rate, USPS, and local pickup, you will create one shipping zone for the US and then add all three shipping methods to that zone so that a customer can select whichever one they prefer.

This shipping zone, and by extension the methods within it (and the pricing you’ve set for these methods) will only be available to customers with a US address.

    Hi @daviswebstudio,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
