Loads out of date jQuery

  • This plugin breaks one of the most important plugin rules: “Do not load your own version of standard WordPress libraries”.

    It currently loads jQuery version 1.8.0 which has the potential to break other well behaved plugins.

    The last version of WordPress to use jQuery 1.8 was 3.5

    @jayce53 “Potential to break” doesn’t necessarily mean that it is actually breaking something. We haven’t had any reports so far of actual conflicts, from amongst hundreds of thousands of users.

    As requested in the support thread you started — if you’re having an issue or have a specific identified conflict, please let us know and we’ll work on it ASAP. Otherwise, as communicated in the support thread — we know we can do even better generally and that the team is already working hard on larger and major improvements (specifically addressing your general concern) and those will be available soon!

    Hi @jayce53 I just wanted to follow up. The team just released the slew of major upgrades that I had mentioned we were working on to improve Site Speed and not loading old versions of jQuery! Do let us know if you have any questions!
