    Hi,

I’m building a website for a client in wordpress.
I started building the website on my own host and domain, and a few weeks ago I moved the website to the domain of the client (using the plugin “duplicator”).

Since I’ve moved the website I’m having problems loading the website in google chrome.
Sometimes loading a certain page keeps hanging (won’t work), sometimes loading a page works, but takes several seconds, and sometimes after renewing the page once or several times a certain pages manages to load but no correctly… -> the logo is displayed too big, certain font colors have the original color of the theme instead of my css modification.
I’m using the plugin “custom css” to change the appearance of the website.
I have made a lot of css changes (+/- 900 lines).
So I have the impression google has problems in these cases to read (load) my modifications in custom css.
I’m not having this problem in chrome every time I load a page of the website, but it occurs too much. In others browsers: safari, firefox, Internet explorer these problems don’t occur.
Before moving the website these problems in chrome didn’t occur.

Now I’m wondering how to resolve this problem? Anyone an idea?
    Thanks in advance.

The url of the website: https://purechild.be
    My wordpress theme: sydney
My google chrome version: 54.0.2840.71 (64-bit)
    CSS customisation plugin: “custom css”
    cache plugin: “WP super cache”

  • Have you tried:
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    Hi kmessinger,

No I haven’t, I’ll try to test the plugins one by one
And if that’s not causing the issues, switching to another theme.

    Thanks for the tip!

eventually, installing a new plugin called “autoptimize” fixed the problem, minifying JS, CSS and HTML-code.
