I’m not a current user, though I installed the plugin to see if this feature is available (and I couldn’t figure it out!).

Normally when using Leaflet, I load in marker data from a json file. Is that possible with this plugin? And if so, where is that option?

If it’s not supported, then do you recommend I convert the json to csv, and then import it?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,
the plugin uses json to load markers for layer maps – anyway loading custom json files directly is not supported yet, it is planned to be added together with support for KML with a future pro release. Converting json to csv will not help here, as the xlsx/xls/csv/ods importer was made to easily manage existing maps with all their metadata, not with features available from JSON.

    Thanks Robert.

And if I have data that is originally from ArcGIS, then I should just convert it to xlsx/xls/csv/ods matching the fields in your template, then import?

yes, the columns from the import template needs to be exactly matched for the import to run successfully…

PS: for pro support please use https://www.mapsmarker.com/helpdesk – giving pro support on www.remarpro.com is actually against the rules…

Thanks. I shall ask no more questions then! I was just wanted to learn more about the available options/tools.

    Resolving.

If the ArcGIS data is in JSON format, we can convert it to CSV in a way that exactly matches the template.

Just send us a message at json-csv.com
