    Hi,

I need to figure out how to get a popup to load on the home page when clicking on the red button that is part of the hero section in the active template. I’ve got the video uploaded to YouTube. Essentially, the desired behavior is to trigger the video in a pop up at the top of the home page, when the user clicks the “Learn More —>” button. I don’t see where I can connect the button, or for that matter, the video link.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Dear @captaindigital,

    Thank you for the topic.

If you want to show the Popup only on the Homepage, you can go to the Popups > particular popup > General tab and leave the Post type and the Posts options blank.
Then, tick the Show on Home page option.

Then, click on the Add Video button to insert your preferred video.
For the next step, please choose on Click suboption from the list for the Popup trigger option.
And, finally, write the ID or the class of your preferred button/element for the CSS selector(s) for trigger click option in the way it is written as an example.

By the way, there is one alternative option available as well.
If you want to use the Youtube Iframe, then, you can choose the Iframe Popup type and insert the Iframe into the Iframe embed code option.

    Hi,

Well, I’ve made progress. But we’re not there yet. I’ve set things up on a staging site: https://kfriedmanestg.wpengine.com. If you click on the “LEARN MORE” button you’ll see the video popup and immediately go away. You’ll also see that the popup window is in portrait mode, with gawd-awful white margins at top and bottom, and a video that is roughly 1/8th the width of the page. Not good. So I’ve diddled with the settings, but so far, nothing is working. I’ve set most everything to “0,” but I’m kind of at the end of my meager skillset.

Ideally, what I want is for a video that is about 2/3rds the width of the main window to pop up just below the main menu, play to the end, and disappear. No margins. No controls. And only appear once per day. (Hey, a guy can dream…)

So, what do I need to do to make this happen?

    Dear @captaindigital,

    Thank you for your reply.

We have checked your website and noticed that you have inserted the video in the <a> tag and your page is being refreshed.
Please note, that you need to insert the video in the <button> tag so that everything can normally work for you.
So, replace the <a> tag with the <button> tag to achieve your desired result.

We have searched and found this video which I assume can be of great help to you:

As to the final point, I want to mention, that the Popup Box plugin has a special popup type named Video, via which you can make a Video popup.
It has the Custom CSS option, where you can write your own CSS code and achieve your desired result in regard to the styling of the popup.

Please note, that the Video popup type is available only in the PRO version of the plugin.
So, please contact us via this form for premium support and further discussion. Our customer care specialists will always be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
