Load Times

  • Hey,

    I currently have uninstalled the plugin, so I left the ‘version’ blank. I have been using this plugin for about 7 weeks and loving it. But, Starting sometime about last week the load times for my Posts was miserably slow (sometimes a full sixty seconds). The old shut-down-all-plugins-and-activate-one-by-one method determined that this plugin was causing the slow load times. Was there a change to to the code within the last couple weeks?

  • Hello. I’ve had the same problem. In particular, post previews would not load.

    We enabled debug and generated the following message when trying to load a previously published post:

    Warning: file_get_contents(https://graph.facebook.com/https://www.lividlili.com/song-of-the-lark-willa-cather/) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Connection timed out in /home/lividlili/lividlili.com/wp-content/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder/simple-share-buttons-adder.php on line 925

    After disabling the plugin my website now runs just fine and I’ve switched to Jetpack sharing buttons. But I really like these ones much better!

    Yeah, I was using the retro looking style which I REALLY liked, but 30 seconds minimum to load a page just isn’t gonna work for me (or, for Google!)

    I deactivated and deleted the plugin entirely and seem to be running super smooth now.
