Live Press back from the dead

  • Live+Press (or Livepress) is a livejournal crossposter that was first released in 2005 and was then sortof abandoned in 2006. As a big fan of Livepress, I’ve maintained a personal copy of the plugin over the last couple years.

    I’ve decided to fork the plugin and support it myself, and make it available to anyone who might want it. I’ve made several bug fixes and changes from the original, and am working on more changes which will be available next month.

    FYI: There’s an updated version of this plugin available today. It has a couple bug fixes.

    LivePress 2.0.2

    Version 2.1 is still scheduled to be ready next month.

    Is there going to be a version that works with 2.6.3? Is there a work around?

    Just finished testing livepress with wp 2.6.3.

    It continued working right after the upgrade. I also deactivated, deleted, removed from options table, and then reinstalled LP on wp 2.6.3 and found no issues.

    If you are still seeing a problem, please post on the livepress forum as much detail as you can and I’ll work with you to resolve whatever problem you’re having.

    hey all –

    i am new to wordpress…in fact, new to the point of just having done my install 15 minutes ago and then added live+press. seems to not work for me, though, on the WP 2.6.3. any tips?

    I’m using it on WP 2.7 and it works fine posting to a community and a personal journal (different blogs).

    What error are you getting?

    Just wanted to say a big thank you for resurrecting this plugin!

    Also, am curious if perhaps you’ll add in an option for us to tweak what the link back text is (not just the blog name) rather than require us to hack through the ljsynch.php file. ??
