Livejournal style captcha

I recently posted on a friend’s Livejournal and noticed that he had the image verification thing (captcha?) enabled. This is common and I was going to write something about how his non-existent non-sighted friends would no longer be able to post, but then I noticed that if one were to type AUDIO then apparently the image would be read to them (I did not check this as. As the main problem with captchas (as far as the developers are concerned, from what I can tell from the forums) is their inability to work with screen readers, one would think that this would negate that problem.
I guess what I’m saying is can I expect to see this functionality in WordPress any time soon? (bonus points in plugin form)
