livejournal friends page

  • is there any way to get an RSS feed for a users (my) Livejournal friends page… i have several friends that only use livejournal, and i’d like to get the feed imported through a method i’ve seen on here… but i don’t think the feed actually exists…

    since it probably doesnt, is there anyway to manually create a feed externally and then import it?

  • AFAIK, LiveJournal doesn’t offer an RSS feed of the Friends page, but you can get RSS feeds for any journal in their system. See Where can I get an RSS or Atom feed of my journal? in the LiveJournal FAQ.

    i knew about the rss feeds for the regular journals… does anyone know of an easy way to get them and sort them out by when they were updated?

    i tried an approach using (i think it was…) fof.. don’t remember what that stands for… but stuff ended up not being formatted correctly and would not be in the order it should have been (very disappointing)

    my server offers cron (which i used with that last, failed method) so updating it regularly, automatically isn’t a problem

    thoughts anyone?
