Livejournal comments in WordPress

Using the LivePress plugin I’m syncing my blog with LJ. Now, because most of the people I know use LJ, they comment there. I would like to import those comments to their respective post in my wordpress powered blog.
LivePress uses ‘unt_lj_entry’, and the XML that LJ uses to export the comments has ‘jitemid’, both of those identify the entries.
It should be possible but my knowledge of php is null. Is there any way to do this?
