Livejournal Autoupdate for 1.5?

  • Are there any new hacks for autoupdating Livejournal through WordPress? Or does LaughingLizard’s old hack still work with 1.5?

  • LivePress is working fine for me.

    LivePress works with a little work, hopefully I will be able to make an update soonish…

    I would be interested in this as a plug in if possible since I had to take it out to upgrade to 1.5.

    Hey, in the comments section of Utein’s page for LivePress, Brint has a supposedly easy fix for the incompatibility issues with LP and WP 1.5. He says the fix is easy, but I couldn’t get it to work without some errors on line 12 that I couldn’t suss out. But who knows? Maybe you or someone else can get the fix to work for you. If you can, post back here and share the joy. (and maybe some advice on how to solve my line 12 errors!) Good luck!!!

    Well, I’ve done everything suggested by everyone and it is not working with 1.5. I am getting so many errors and it is now way over my head. I would really love this plug in cause I blog at LJ but my primary blog is on my personal site. In a nutshell…I am having header issues and then when I go to post It will not and brings up a page with a bunch of script on it. Will not sync. Look forward to more updates…

    Yeah, I’m looking forward to this one working for 1.5, too. I can’t afford to switch to a host that allows for more than 15 MySQL connections at a given time so, having an LJ as a back up would be an awesome (and free) alternative that my users could resort to when my db has reached its limit.

    Well, I got the plugins to load properly, but I still can’t synch. I get bac an lj_error of “Client :
    Application failed during request deserialization:not well-formed (invalid token) at line 14, column 16, byte 1563 at /usr/lib/perl5/XML/Parser.pm line 187″ ; does this make any sense to me? I’ve no hand for perl.

    I’ve tried this plugin and it won’t sync.

    Is there any real support for this plugin?

    This post is directed at Unteins (Jason Goldsmith the writer of LivePress), as I can not find an e-mail address or other contact information for him on any site or his journal. And since it said if you have any issues or feedback to contact him, I’m trying here, as I’ve seen him post here before.
    However, if any of you nice people have any insight on how to do this myself, I’d be forever greatful!

    Is there any chance of getting Deadjournal or other LiveJournal Clones support in your products?
    There are many LiveJournal Clones such as Deadjournal.com, GreatestJournal.com GotDiary.com, Blurty.com, and others. Adding the ability to change the site in which you sync, or allowing multiple LJ Clone Journal Syncs would be greatly appreciated. Expecially since I have both a LiveJournal & a DeadJournal.
    I’ve looked in your code to try to change livejournal.com referances to deadjournal.com, but I think I fouled it up or missed a few because it still doesn’t work.

    I’d gladly pay for such an edit, and it would greatly increase your userbase.
