    Hi @hypeneutron, thanks for your question.

    We can’t directly assist with troubleshooting local installations, but the “VERIFICATION REQUIRED” message is sent when reCAPTCHA fails or the user is detected as a bot rather than human. The reason why a local site may be experiencing this is because Google’s Site Key and Secret will no longer match the domain – so reCAPTCHA will probably fail every time.

    Rename the local site’s /wp-content/plugins/wordfence plugin folder to “wordfence_bak” (without quotes). This should let you access and log into your site normally with username and password only. You can then rename the folder back and disable 2FA/reCAPTCHA locally if you wish. If the local site’s path to wordfence-waf.php is different to that of the live site, you may also need to remove firewall optimization: https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/optimizing-the-firewall/#removing-the-optimization
