Live View does not display website

I have been working on transitioning my website from the simple drag and drop one I put together using my hosts builder (iPage) to WordPress. I have chosen a theme but when I attempt to view it in the Live Editor I am presented with a blank screen and the side control panel. I have tried using the Twenty Fourteen theme with no success. Reinstallation of WordPress on my host doesn’t resolve the problem, nor does changing browsers. My version of Firefox is up to date and the only other possible fix I have seen in the forums is a reset of Firefox which I am loath to do. I have no additional plugins installed, it was displaying this blank screen the first time I loaded WordPress.
