i just installed WF and am trying to understand Live Traffic.

    1) i am using firefox as admin and it does record my login and logout in both IE and Firefox but does not record any page hits from my ip. why is that? it does record page hits from tor which is a different ip.

    2) i am trying to replace Slim Stat monitoring. it monitors all the time but refresh can be disabled. does Live Traffic only record when it’s turned on i.e. there is no distinction between recording and refreshing the screen as with Slim Stat?

    3) this weird error message flashes very quickly every time I manually refresh the Live Traffic screen:

    An unknown location at IP

IP: [unblock] [unblock this range] [block]
    hits

in unknown location at IP arrived from and left and tried to access non-existent page visited was at logged in successfully as logged out successfully, requested a password reset, attempted a failed login as attempted a failed login using an invalid username changed their password.

IP: unblock unblock this range block
    Browser:
Unblock this IP Unblock this range Block this IP Block this network
See recent traffic Whitelist param from Firewall
    No events to report yet.

    any idea what that is?

    thx

    Hi,
Let me try answering your questions:
1- Most probably that’s because you have this option enabled at (Wordfence > Options => Live Traffic View => Don’t log signed-in users with publishing access) and you weren’t logged in while using Tor.

2- As long as you have “Enable Live Traffic View” option activated, the plugin will keep records of your website visits up to the number assigned in “Amount of Live Traffic data to store” option, regardless you are refreshing the live traffic page or not.

3- I’m pretty sure that’s because of a delay in loading the JavaScript codes on this page, perhaps you have a plugin with defer JavaScript option? or any other plugin that can alter the way JS loads on your website.

    Thanks.
