Live Traffic, Scan, Block IP not working

  • As requested, as of 09/09/2014, 3:00 A.M. EST, none of the above services “work” since the last update. I am using WordPress 1.5.6 and my hosting service is “iPower”. Out of Massachusetts, U.S.A..

    I am trying out the Free Version of WordFence as a supplement to a service called “StaCounter”. StatCounter is admittedly pretty limited in its abilities. I started with it and just haven’t gotten around to deleting it. I guess I just keep it around as a “second opinion”.

    Support from iPower, my provider, is very attentive. But it has been my experience with this company that their source of Tech Support, which seems to come from India, is not well versed in the English language.

    I ask, for instance, “how do I block a range of IP addresses” and receive a response like “your IP address is determined by your ISP”.

    The “service” is “up” 24/7 but support is completely worthless. I could go on but it never got any better than that.

    Anyway – and as mentioned, I am trying out your “free” service. I liked your “Live Traffic” service as it filled in the blanks missed by “StatCounter”, but really only tried that part of your service. Only “touching” on others. Utilizing other services for other functionality. Like the plugin “IQ Country Block” for, well, IP and country blocking.

    WordFence seems to offer an all inclusive service, one that I would like to utilize. And for which I would like to contribute financially.

    But just not one that seems to work with my current installation.

    I appreciate your taking the time to address my specific issue, but must admit that I am still checking out other services/plugins. And can not say at this time that I feel your service is the answer for which I am searching.

    And as such, appreciate any advice you might offer. And perhaps continue to offer. But also do not wish for you to expend resources on a service to which I have not yet committed.

    Though for me, such support does influence my decision…

    Sorry you are having issues.

    Can you verify the version of wordpress and wordfence. I’m sure that has to be a typo.

    Sorry. WordPress 3.9.2. WordFence 5.2.3.

    The “Live Traffic”, “Scan” and “Block IP” features do not “work” for me. For instance, when I select “Live Traffic”, the screen appears, but the “box” which used to contain referrers, ip addresses etc.,is blank. When I select “scan”, nothing happens.

    I appreciate your trying to help. Is there somewhere I can download an older version? As mentioned, it seemed to work just fine before the last update.

    I’m deleting WF 5.2.3 for now….

    Are you seeing any errors in the browser? Can you ask your hosting provider to see if he can search for site specific errors that mention wordence?

    No errors found. I just tried version 5.2.5 which does not work for me either. Is there somewhere I can download an older version?

    We don’t recommend this because of the security updates we address, etc. We’re you able to get the logs from your provider?
