• Hi Overthere,
we’re using WF for some time now. We’re also using Activity Log on the same site.

Today I’d to do some research regarding locked out users and found that the logs of the two plugins are differing. WF Live Traffic is showing significantly less Wrong Password Attempts than Activity Log.

Maybe I’m just interpreting it only falsely but “Failed Login” in WF means “Wrong Password” was entered, right?

    Hi @ralf-r

Wordfence by default stores 2000 rows of data – You can change that in the Live Traffic Options section. Naturally the Wordfence Live Traffic records are pruned to make room for new records.

I suspect that the Activity Log records are old records that have since been deleted from the Wordfence Live Traffic records.

Thx for answering and nope I don’t mean logs over a longer period of time. I’m seeing this instantly.

While checking again I noticed that I now have quite the opposite problem where WF is doubling an entry. Any idea why?

    Hi @ralf-r

Your screenshots are showing completely different things. The Wordfence screenshot is showing WordPress AJAX requests and not login attempts.
