    Hello,

Before writing this topic i read all the other topics but the solutions that were suggested did not resolve my issue.
My live traffic displays my host site ip address and does not resolves the real IP address of any traffic that accessed my site (i checked it from 3 different IP’s)
I tried all the options under “How does Wordfence get IPs” but the problem persists plus under the “Detected IP(s)” and “Your IP with this setting” i get the wrong IP too.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hello @alexhental and thanks for reaching out to us!

It does sound like you were on the right track as it looks like an IP detection issue. A diagnostic might give me some insight.

Can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

    Thanks again!

I was not able to locate the diagnostic. Try the “Export” on the diagnostic page and attach it to an email for wftest @ wordfence . com with the subject “alexhental for WFADAM”. Just let me know once you have sent it.

    Thanks again!

I seem to not be receiving your emails. I’m receiving emails from other users though.

Could you try again, please? Sorry about the inconvience.

    Success! I got this one!

It looks like the IP is only resolving the host IP, which would be incorrect for traffic as it will display everything as the same IP (your hosts).

I am not familiar with the host you’re using. Reach out to your host and ask them if you need to add any trusted proxies to resolve the IP on your site.

Let me know what you find!

    Thanks again!

After checking with the host it seems like our site is behind a NAT, is there any other approach in order to assist wordfence to resolve the IP’s?

Sorry for the late response but I never got alerted to your reply.

Usually, the host will have IPs that you can set as trusted in the Wordfence settings. Were they able to supply you with any?

    Thanks again!

    (@alexhental)

They did not supply me with any IPs.
If needed i have full control of the wordfence settings.

When i asked them about the issue they told me that the website IP is 192.X.X.X therefore i will always see the external IPs as my own external IP.

I was trying to do some testing in the same environment and I am not seeing the same issue.

Can you email feedback @ wordfence . com with subject “alex_alex for WFADAM”? I will be able to assist you there.

    Thanks again!
