When “Show Advanced Filters” is checked on the Live Traffic screen, a box with a blue border is shown below the Filter drop-down list that says “ADD: FILTER HOOK FOR ENABLE WP-SIGNUP (@SUMOBI)”

I have searched but cannot find an explanation. What is this?

    Thanks

Hi @phonyroyal, thanks for your message!

I don’t see any mentions of this phrasing around Live Traffic filters mentioned in past support cases. Do you have any of the plugins or themes installed that appear on the following pages?

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

None of those Peter. Thanks for looking at this.

    The following plugins are installed:

    • Check & Log Emil by WPChill (I disabled this and refreshed but “ADD: FILTER HOOK FOR ENABLE WP-SIGNUP (@SUMOBI)” still shows)
    • Cloudflare
    • Duplicator
    • Elementor (& Pro)
    • Really Simple SSL
    • Sydney Toolbox by aThemes (and Sydney theme)
    • Wordfence

Hi @phonyroyal, thanks for clarifying your installed plugins.

Could I please see a screenshot of the filter hook section within the advanced filters? Screenshots can now be embedded in the forums if you’d prefer not to host the image externally.

Please feel free to send a site diagnostic to wftest @ wordfence . com from the affected site. The diagnostic can directly come from the plugin using the link at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page.

Afterwards, click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

    Thanks again,
    Peter.

Thanks Peter. I have sent the diagnostics. I have emailed the image due to a warning that file uploading is disabled .

    Thanks

Thanks for sending those over @phonyroyal.

I honestly suspect that some JavaScript or CSS is accidentally hijacking the HTML “button” element, or tied to the same class names of wf-btn or wf-btn-default on this particular page for some reason and changing the text dynamically. Does the button behave as the “add” button should when clicked?

I’m not sure if the plugin developer @sumobi is linked to this, and it could be a false clue, as it seems products they’ve been involved with aren’t present from seeing your diagnostic.

I would suggest possibly disabling all plugins except for Wordfence, and defaulting to a theme such as Twenty Twenty-Three to see if the button reverts back to “ADD FILTER”. If it does, reenable your plugins and theme one-by-one to see when the text changes again to determine the cause.

    Thanks again,
    Peter.

Thanks Peter. I changed the theme to Twenty Twenty-Three and disabled every single plugin except Wordfence.

But still when “Show Advanced Filters” is checked on the WordFence Live Traffic screen, the “ADD: FILTER HOOK FOR ENABLE WP-SIGNUP (@SUMOBI)” buttons is displayed.

The button creates another filter row above it when clicked, after all the above changes.

How does this button get into the WordFence Live Traffic page?? WordFence Scan doesn’t show anything out of the ordinary (mystery files).

Is there anything that I can send that may help figure this out?

    Thanks
