    It is hard to know for sure why a hacker would want info/access to that particular file. It could be an automated bot scanning for whatever files it can find.

    Make sure that you are using the latest WordPress and keeping all of your plugins and themes updated. If you are being diligent, then it is probably nothing to worry about. Keep an eye on it, but most likely it is an automatic attempt to find weaknesses in your website.
