After updating to the latest version of Wordfence, I am only able to view human live traffic from less than 24 hours ago. Before, I was able to view days back and see what traffic was coming through the website. How can this be fixed?

  • Try going to your Wordfence “Options” page view sidebar menu, then Expand all Options, then browser search for “Amount of Live Traffic data to store (number of rows),” and be sure you have a lot of rows, as you might just have so much site traffic your setup can’t store enough data to go past 24 hours.

Ok, thanks. It was at 2000 and I don’t think we’re getting so much traffic that it can’t store enough data.

    Thank You

    Hi @resicad,

We implemented a fix in the latest release (7.0.5) to solve an issue with the human/bot detection; humans visitors were not properly identified and were flagged as bots.

This could explain why visits from humans do not appear as such in the Live Traffic stream for that period of time.

Now that you upgraded to the latest version of Wordfence you’re able to see that type of visits again.

Would this hypothesis be consistent with what you’re experiencing?

Yes, it would! I can see back and it does not disappear immediately. Thank you.
