Live chat showing and working on website but unable to respond

Hello,

I have added messenger to a page on a test website we’re using. This is working ok and when I type in a message, it sends it to my iphone and is visible as a notification.

However, when I look in the list of messenger messages, it’s not there.

What I am I missing? Is it an iPhone issue?

I am logged into the relevant Facebook page when the messge arrives but I just can’t find it so I can respond.

Any guidance / assistance would be much appreciated.
