Live chat session starts over on page load

Hello

We have the live chat installed through the wordpress plugin. We have the latest version.

When you refresh the page, the chat window closes, and the chat history is gone.
If you open the chat, it starts a new session.

Is there a way around this, so the chat window and session stay open, even if the user refreshes or navigates to a new page?
