The live blogging plugin is great!!! It does exactly what I hoped. I have one question though. If I insert a Youtube video into the post, the video will start to play for about 20 seconds and then stop. I think it has something to do with the refresh rate. Is there anyway to stop the refresh until the video has finished?? Is there another solution that might work better???

Afraid that this is a known bug, it’s something that’s non-trivial to fix, and I’ve not found the time to do it yet

oh. Ok. Is there any other way that I could include a video into the post so people can watch it without leaving the page? Maybe not a youtube video?

Afraid not, the page refreshes every few seconds so the problem would affect all videos

    Hi Chris,

I thought about the page refreshing also and thought why not just have the browser bring up a window onto of the webpage. You still can see the live blog in the background but it’s grayed out. The video will play in the foreground. If you type something on the admin side, you can see that it’s still loading the feed onto the page. Works pretty simple.

My only issue is that sometime when you click on the video, it’s jumping out to youtube and not staying on the page. Haven’t figured that part out yet.

THANK YOU for the help though!!!!

Another quick question – Any way to do live blogging from the wordpress app on the iPad? I know I can just log into the website thru safari but I don’t see the liveblogging tab in the app.

I would guess not – I suspect that support needs to be added to the app, rather than the other way round
