Live banner different from preview

    I’m trying to get the banner to show (on page load) without all the sliders visible but nothing seems to work.

    In the preview the sliders are only visible after clicking “preferences” but in the live site the expanded view is visible right away.

    On mobile that covers more than 50% of the page, not good.

    Hi @elenigna,

    I just tried, to see if this is a bug at our end. But no issues.

    Could you try clearing cache after another save in cookie banner settings?

    Do other changes, besides the template come through OK? Like colours or animations?

    If this was an update from 4.9.9, please try script debugging as well:

    You can add define( ‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true ); to your wp-config.php file or install WP Debugging (Plugin).

    Hi Aert, thanks for the reply.

    All other changes (colors etc.) work ok.

    It’s not the cache as I’m using incognito to re-test changes.

    I’ve installed the debugger plugin but the only issues seem to be with google scripts.

    I suppose this is a JS error but I’m not sure where to look for it.

    Any hint would be appreciated.

    Hi @elenigna,

    And on-site caching? Like Autoptimize, WP Rocket and other caching plugins?

    I can’t reproduce the issue, so this is my best guess.

    Hi Aert,

    I had a caching plugin but I tried “purge cache” and then uninstalled it. I still see the issue.

    By “can’t reproduce” you mean you see the banner not expanded on my site?

    I have changed the layout so it’s not as bad now, but it’s still expanded.

    Could you tell if me if this was an update from 4.9 to 5.0, or a new installation. And if an update, could you export your settings and send create a download link with wetransfer.com?

    Hi Aert,

    I’m not 100% sure what version I started with but I installed it very recently and then I think I also updated it a few days after (and it broke).
