Live and Test versions of site: Exporting and Importing bookings

    Hi there,

    We’re currently in the process of rebuilding a client’s website. While we’re doing this on our development server, the Live version of the website is still running, and bookings are being made. Once we’re done and the client is satisfied with the website’s new version, we will replace the Live environment with the version of the website thats currently on our Development server.

    We know it’s possible to export the bookings from the Live site once we’re done with Development, but how do we import the exported bookings oncemore?

    Hi,

    You can use the import/export area to export the main booking form settings form one website to another:

    Depending of the version of the plugin used there are different ways to export/import bookings, but in all cases you can also import/export the raw bookings stored in database table “wp_cpappbk_messages” from one website to another using a database tool like PHPMyAdmin. Note that the database tables prefix “wp_” may be different in your databases.

    It looks like our version of the plugin may differ from the example in your screenshots, despite having kept it up to date– to my knowledge, at least. Is the export/import option placed elsewhere in this version, from what you can see?
