Litespeed Will Speed Your Website Like A Rocket Ship On “God Mode”

First and foremost, I am a preacher of actions speak louder than words. The proof is in the pudding.

So before I ramble off on Litespeed, here is the proof of my results using three different speed test tools:

1) Gtmetrix A score 99 performance 97 Structure
2) Webpagetest A score first byte time:
3) Pagespeed insights Desktop 100
4) Pagespeed insights Mobile 100

Before I installed Litespeed cache, my average scores were a C, 45 for mobile, and 75 on desktop.

Mind you, my site is on WordPress with 40 plus plugins including Woocommerce. It uses heavy resources like javascript and I am still able to get a near perfect score with Litespeed cache. VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE!

One thing to note is your hosting provider must have a Litespeed server in order to install and run the plugin on WordPress.

So, in case you’re that guy or gal, I highly recommend WPX Hosting. They’re very affordable, simple to use, and have a robust support team that answers your inquiries in less than 30 seconds.

WPX hosting or Cloudflare will get you mediocre scores. If you want near perfect scores, you need a cache plugin. There is nothing better than Litespeed cache at the moment.

They rolled out last month a feature called Guest Mode and Guest Optimization (GM/GO) which creates a cache version of your site for guest visitors.

Typically the way caching works is a visitor first needs to land on your page to generate the cache. As such, the first time visit speed will be lower than the second.
When the visitor lands on the page a second time, they receive the cache version of the site, which substantially increases the page load speed.

The way GM/GO work (there is no other cache plugin that has this feature as of 7/13/2021) is Litespeed creates the cache version of your site beforehand. So it doesnt require the visitor to land on your site first to generate the cache.

This means from the get-go, your visitors will be served the cache immediately upon their first visit, thus your website will load VERY VERY quickly (as shown in my results above). The visitor wouldn’t need to visit the site twice before he/she experiences fast loading times.

With GM/GO turned on, you don’t even need to perform any other tweaks like compressing or optimizing images, removing emojis, and all the other tiny miscellaneous improvements. Doing so will only improve the speed marginally.

My site’s images are uncompressed meaning I am using the raw size without shrinking them to save space. Some of my images are like 500KB and the total on any one page is over 1MB. But it doesnt matter, since I got GM/GO turned on.

You’ll not only save money with Litespeed since you dont really need to invest in any image compression tools like Shortpixel, but time. It’s truly a plug and play model, now that GM/GO is in the mix.

Might I add… Litespeed has their own image compression tool built within the plugin where you can compress unlimited images for FREE. Yes. That’s a bonus perk for being part of their family. ??

In addition to the enhanced speed on steroids, Litespeed support is second to none.

They’re heavily involved on Slack, WordPress forums, and other channels to resolve issues as quickly as possibly. I am not talking about days, but hours. They invest a significant amount of time to satisfy their customers’ best interest.

One prime example is the gentleman with an alias of Stars on Slack. Big shoutout to him, his team for their unfailing and unending help. I spent one week trying to figure out how to fix a nasty bug breaking my site’s images.

The conclusion: it wasn’t Litespeed’s bug, but mine. Their developers dug and dug and dug and after thoroughly testing, they told me to remove a cache value from an old plugin called SG Optimizer. This value was stored as a worker in Cloudflare unbeknownst to me.

They went above and beyond to remedy the issue at hand which was outside of their scope of work. I couldn’t be more amazed by their diligence, strong sense of benevolence, and compassion. You won’t find this kind of support any place else.

All and all, Litespeed is the BEST, FASTEST, EASIEST, AND MOST AFFORDABLE WAY to significantly boost website speeds and end user experience!
