Installed the LSC plugin on another site, which has speed issues and ran 2 speed tests. However, GTMetrix and PageSpeedInsights both returned analysis errors and couldn’t complete the test.

I disabled LSC then ran both tests again and got poor results (albeit results): GTMetrix 31% – PageSpeedInsights 26 Mobile, 41 Desktop with the first issue “Reduce initial server response time”

Not sure why I can’t run LSC on this site? (I have it enabled on my other site OK with only 1 minor issue).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • You don’t have LiteSpeed web server. That means you can’t use LiteSpeed LScache and you can only use a few optimiziation options. This is the reason why you can only benefit inadequately from the LScache plugin. You should therefore switch to LiteSpeed hosting or use quic.cloud. With quic.cloud you benefit from all the advantages of the cache plugin without having to change your hosting.

Thank you for the response @supervisior

It’s weird as a week ago, I did enable LSC and was getting much better speeds for a couple of days – it was working. Then, a couple of days ago, my site started playing up (not loading, if loaded, images didn’t load, hamburger menu not functional, etc.

My host (InMotion) advised me to replace LSC with WPRocket. InMotion also advised that my site is pinging the server too many times during a 24-hour period and using too much CPU, which in turn, InMotion throttles the site.

yes , some page optm process could be resources expensive and time costly , on apache server when such operation is performed at every page access, it could lead to the case your provider mentioned while on LiteSpeed server, the result will be cached and re-used

you can also try enable QUIC cloud CDN , it will cache the page at CDN edge.
