    Hello

I have been having this problem for about 6 months and it has become quite annoying

If I turn Litespeed off my CLS = 0

When I enable it goes up to between 0.8 and 1.1 which is not great

However, I have absolutely no idea why the cache would affect this

If you load my page you will actually see the shift occur when you load the page on the top menu which is created by javascript, however, If I turn the cache off this disappears and its fine

I am posting as I have simply run out of ideas and maybe thinking about trying to use another cache to see if this fixes it would rather not, as I’ve got everything else configures perfectly.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Its a very bizarre issue i am pretty baffled by

  • I can’t believe it…. Would you please disable this setting again to check it?

it’s still disabled, I didn’t enable it again after

seems to show as better on gtmetrix but when I ran report and webpagetest.org was the same

annoyingly shows as 0.101 on lighthouse google thing which is annoying as needs to be below 0.1 to be ok

Okay, to isolate what causes it, please disable all CSS settings in CSS settings tab, purge cache and check it again. If this helps you can enable optimizations again, but one by one and after each enabled setting, purge cache and check it with Pagespeed.

well I turned them all off and it still giving me the same

    I told you its bizarre

If it’s not the CSS do you have any idea what another setting could be causing this?

Am sure the answer is in one of the settings just not sure where

    hello

    Many thanks for your help

    I disabled the lazy load

When I check my site via f12 and then run page speed report it says its 0

    But when I goto
    https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.worldofchat.co.uk%2F

says it is 0.79 which I think is a slight improvement the same as webpagetest says it.751

no idea why one report says it’s fine and the other 2 not though

enabling lqip had no effect at all

Well i did get the small improvement I was looking for

Is there anything else anyone can suggest before I leave it alone for now ?

Many thanks to the people who helped me

Turning off the lazy load seemed to make the biggest impact for anyone else who reads this thread
