• This plug-in seems well designed, though some of the dashboard elements are a little clunky, visually.

The “lite” version of this plug-in seems designed to get you to do the full installation and setup only to discover you can’t really accomplish anything without upgrading to the paid, yearly-licensed version.

As another user has said here, the description (even updated) seems misleading. Case in point: the plug-in description says you can manage basic banner ads.

I went through the trouble of setting up a zone, and adding it to my site framework via php. Adding a banner only allows an HTML version, – all other inputs (including the super basic image-with-link) are premium. No problem, I can code that easily.

However, try to add another ad into that “zone”, so that the ads rotate, and it tells you that you’re restricted to only one ad in a zone unless you upgrade. That means it WON’T rotate any other ads in that position. It’s a static placement.

This means that I’ve HTML coded a singular ad – with no rotation, and then placed it into my site framework via php. I could have done exactly that WITHOUT the use of this plug-in. Which makes the Lite version ENTIRELY USELESS.

I pay for good plug-ins all the time. But I won’t pay when I feel like the initial interaction with the company/provider is disingenuous.
