Lite version has EXTREMELY limited functionality

I just needed a simple contact form, with the ability to add some instructional text to it. There is an ‘HTML’ field and I have the ability to drag it into my form. However I cannot edit it to add my text. Once I drag it into the form it has a cog that never stops spinning. So either that functionality is not available in the free Lite version and it’s not clear from the interface, or there is a bug there. Either way, this wasn’t a good user experience. So, back to the plugin gallery to find something else.
