Lite: Listing is incorrectly charging fees

    Hello,

    I have just started using WP-Lister Lite to see if it is what I’m looking for, and so far it appears to be.

    However, there is one main problem: when I verify the listings with Ebay, it appears to be charging a ￡0.70 listing fee per item, when I know that each listing should be free under Ebay’s ongoing “100 items per month listed for free” promotion.

    Is there something in the set-up that is causing this to be charged that I’m unaware of? Pr does WP-Lister not use Ebay’s promotions?

    Standard fixed-price listings using standard template set-up.

    Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

    WP-Lister does “honor” promotions and discounts that take place on a seller’s account. Because all WP-Lister does is list the items, while eBay’s “system” calculates total listings in the account vs how many free listings the user’s account is entitled to etc.

    By default WP-Lister should not impose any added fees. But if you enabled a second eBay category, or enabled a bold listing title etc. for example, that could raise your eBay fees. So I would suggest you call eBay, ask them about this sample listing that was charged the additional .70 and why was it charged the additional amount. When they tell you why, let me know and I will help you disable that setting in WP-Lister if that is what you wish to do.

    If you are asking about the fee that shows in WP-Lister when you verify your listings, the eBay API doesn’t take promotions like 100 free listings per month into account when they “calculate” the fee and that this is the reason why you see that fee within WP-Lister.

    If you have 100 free listings per month, then you won’t have to pay any fee for those listings, no matter whether they are listed via WP-Lister or any other way, and no matter what fee might show up when verifying an item.

    But, once the listing is published, then the proper fee should show.
