    Hi,
i’m having problem in categories visualization on my homepage.
i found every possible setup for listings, but i’d like to see the categories list on my homepage IN THE ORDER i choose or, alternatively in a logical one.
I tried work on setup guide, on every page of dashboard (correctly, i presume), and finally tried to modify the code in the page:
    [vc_column][listing_cats catstyles="cat_ab_grid_abstracted" category_ids="132,85,67,98,58,64,14,92,52,74,75,23,89,56,31,62,101,96,54,99,57,70,60,78,73,61,59,93,94,77,87,91,102,82,95,97,63,72,86,55,100,65,71,68,76,88,90,32,80,79,29,81,27,84,83,66"]
here it seems to be an order of categories, but these numbers ARE NOT the IDS of categories and, if i change them, nothing changes.

    Every help should be appreciated,
    thanks a lot
    Best Regards

    Hi,

The issue at your end is related to WPBakery Page Builder plugin: https://wpbakery.com/
The Visual Composer Website Builder: https://visualcomposer.com/ and WPBakery Page Builder: https://wpbakery.com/ are two independent products.
You can find more info here: https://visualcomposer.com/docs/faq/visual-composer-website-builder-vs-wpbakery-page-builder/

Hi, thanks for your immediate reply.
    Sorry, but i can’t understand maybe…
visual composer and bakery builder are independent, ok. how can i solve the problem of the order?
the element i’m using is the “Listing categories” from the listingpro template: can i edit it? and if yes, how?
i searched on the listingpro site but it seems i’m the only one with this issue: the listing categories setup is only a list with checkable flags, and there is no indication about order.
I tried selecting them in the desired sequence: nothing.
    Tried in listingpro dashboard: nothing.
if i select only 2 categories, in the right order, the alphabetical one, in any case the page is different (and without any logic).
I found the categories id in listing pro dash, and i thought to find the values in code, but, as i wrote, there is no corrispondence between the id (that are from 211 to 369) and the list i see in code (i think it’s the list…but in any case also changing that values there is no result).

i’m asking this: is it possible that a template of listings (i’ve got to say, good in many functions) doesn’t allow to set a so simple thing as the order of categories?

    Any suggestions is aprreciated
    thanks a lot
    Best regards
    Francesco

    Hello,

The “Listing categories” is a custom element added by the theme. You should contact the theme developer for any issues related to it. If you face any issue with WPBakery Page Builder plugin, then you can contact it’s support: https://support.wpbakery.com/
