I’ve recently updated WordPress to 3.8 and the Business Directory Plugin to 3.2.3 and now my listings are not showing on the specific category pages, but the main page listing the category shows a count next to it. If I search for a listing I know exists, it says “no listings found”.

I have checked that the listings (74 of them) a published and public. I have deactivated the known conflict plugins and checked all my slugs.

I can view the actually listing page if go to the direct link, so they are there, just not showing up anywhere helpful.

    Hi maeve1916,

Have you tried a plugin conflict test to see if this is BD, the theme, or another plugin?

Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

Report back with what you find.

    Hi

Firstly, I think it’s very misleading to mark your support topics resolved the moment you reply to them.

As I mentioned I had checked the plugins for conflicts.

I have since reverted to a backup of the website on a test server and the plugin worked perfectly on WordPress 3.8 with all other plugins updated to their latest release.

When I updated the business directory plugin to the latest release, the same problem occurred.

Deactivating absolutely everything allowed the plugin warnings to appear. I had a few legacy files for the directory plugin in my child-them that was causing a conflict.

I have deleted these and it is now working again.

    Hi maeve1916,

Glad that you sorted it out.

The “resolved” mark is used differently by different authors. I use it to indicate I’ve replied. Most times, people don’t come back to the thread so it keeps my forum clean. But I always respond to anyone who responds in the forum, even when it’s marked Resolved. Don’t worry.
